Strength training at its best.

Join Shannon, Andrea and Lacy with the fastest way to shape up and lose body fat.  It’s a toning and conditioning class that will improve strength and endurance in the major muscle groups and, in doing so, burn calories all day long.  You’ll use a step and a bar with a set of weights.

The secret behind strength training workouts as effective fat burning workouts is that they build muscle.  Muscle is called "active tissue" because it requires a lot of energy to maintain itself. For every pound of new muscle you add to your body you will burn about 60 calories per day which can add up quickly in just a short amount of time!

All fitness levels.  60 minutes


 

WATER WALKING CHALLENGE

1.  This is a continuing challenge

2.  Counting beads will be available in the pool area

3.  52 laps equals one mile

4.  Prizes will be given for miles completed, a list of those prizes will be posted

5.  Members will record their mileage in a book that will be on the front table

6.  There is no time limit on this challenge, it will be ongoing

7.  There will be no set time for walking – members may come in and walk
      whenever they would like
